Cumbernauld to Cannock raises over £8,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK

Peter Jones, Andy Keyworth, Adam Alderson and Kathryn Hyde of Briggs Equipment UK recently completed a 350 mile cycling challenge from Cumbernauld to Cannock, raising over £8,000 for charity partner Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Peter Jones, Group Managing Director at Briggs Equipment, said “We are absolutely delighted with the amount of support we received for the challenge, both from the rest of the team at Briggs, the corporate partnerships team at Alzheimer’s Research UK, and from our sponsors who made the physical demands of the challenge totally worth it. We far exceeded our target of £5,000 thanks to the contributions of Baumann Attachments, Cascade Attachments, CIRM, Combilift, Dbfb Communications, Fork Truck Control, Hako, Hoppecke, HROC, HSBC, Hyster, Inchcape, Indizine, Interfit, Pall-Ex, Pinsent Masons, Secondsight, Travis Perkins, TVH, Wells Fargo and Yale.”

Katy Abraham, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Alzheimer’s Research UK, said: “What an incredible challenge! We couldn’t be more grateful to the team at Briggs Equipment for taking on such a demanding test of their stamina in support of our work. The money raised is enough to fund vital resources and equipment for our scientists, and will go a long way in making life-changing breakthroughs possible. There are currently no treatments available to stop or cure the diseases that cause dementia, but with companies like Briggs by our side, we can change this picture.”
