Cat Lift Trucks’ Reach Trucks are specifically engineered to cater for a wide range of storage and retrieval scenarios.
Key Features:
- The chassis design is 40% stiffer than on previous models, for better operating stability and greatly improved residual capacities.
- The triplex poweRamic mast with free lift and re-designed fork backrest dramatically improves the operator's view of both fork tips and support legs for smooth and fast pallet entry, effectively reducing the possibility of damage to loads and racking.
- The trucks’ AC system gives excellent control over speed and torque which results in very smooth driving and lifting performance.
- The second generation MicroCommand AC controller is the beating heart of the NR-N range, with more programmable features than before and over 500 different settings available, making it easier to precisely adapt the trucks to different applications.
- The centrepiece of the compartment is the display panel which incorporates a pin-code ‘starter’ system for up to 30 different operators, whilst also preventing unauthorised use
Safety
Improved chassis rigidity, a host of driver safety features and programmable mast damping make the new NR-N reach trucks safe and productive without reducing performance.
Key Features:
- Unlimited 360° making turning easy and stress-free.
- Progressive steering keeps the truck stable at high speeds and improves manoeuvrability at low speeds by adjusting the steering wheel to drive wheel turn ratio.
- The ‘Deadman’s pedal is positioned under the operator’s left foot and prevents operation of the truck, unless depressed.
- Drive speed is progressively reduced above free lift, as the mast starts to extend, from a maximum speed of 12Km/h down to 2.5Km/h at and above 6 metre fork heights
Durability
Easy servicing and maintenance is vital for maximising up time and reducing total cost of ownership.
Key Features:
- The truck service interval has been doubled to 600 hours over the previous range.
- Easy access to all components, pumps and the controller.
- Standard battery rollers and the optional battery changing device make changing the battery a fast and safe procedure
- The mast profile also conducts heat better than the traditional cylinder, resulting in more effective cooling of the hydraulics, leading to increased lifetime for the pump and longer oil change intervals.
- AC motors have better programmability, consume less energy and are easier to service than DC motors.
- An added advantage is that during intensive use, ‘regenerative braking’ results in less wear on the mechanical brake, returns power to the battery and leads to more comfortable, smoother driving
