After Briggs Equipment completed the delivery of 18 new big trucks for ASCO, a leading provider of integrated logistics and materials management, the business has reduced emissions by 50%.
The 12-tonne capacity machines, which are powered by HVO fuel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) and manufactured by Yale Lift Truck Technologies, provided the right solution and fuel source for ASCO’s requirements.
Thorough discussions and analysis allowed Briggs to understand that the new machines, which can support HVO, LPG and low emission diesel fuel options, will allow maximum operational efficiency across multiple ASCO sites.
The equipment boasts some of the best safety and ergonomic features available, optimising comfort and productivity for employees at ASCO. The trucks also contain the latest telemetry systems, allowing the company to identify areas for performance gains too.
Supporting ASCO with Sustainability and ESG Goals
Briggs Equipment is proud to partner with a like-minded business that is dedicated to their sustainability and ESG goals, and as ASCO’s operations grow, Briggs will continue to tailor the solution to any of their requirements.
Briggs has offered technical support, advice, and MHE equipment, including reach trucks and forklift trucks to ASCO since 2012. With six more trucks due for delivery this year, the partnership continues to go from strength to strength.
Mick Smith, ASCO UK’s Fleet Manager, commented:
“At ASCO, we prioritise safety, service excellence, and sustainability. Our latest fleet upgrade, in collaboration with Briggs Equipment, highlights this commitment with the addition of cutting-edge forklifts powered by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO).
These environmentally friendly machines align with our ESG goals but also guarantee uninterrupted service, allowing us to provide reliable, high-quality logistics while advancing a safer and more sustainable future for our business.”
Iain McMillan, Key Account Manager at Briggs Equipment, said:
“At the start of this process we collaborated and worked closely with the ASCO Team to understand their business needs.
I’m thrilled to see how quickly their emissions have been reduced, and how much their operational efficiency has improved in such a short space of time.
Mike Parkin, Head of Solutions and Sustainability at Briggs Equipment added:
“We’re pleased to be partnered with a business who takes their ESG commitment and strategy as seriously as us. Learning from and working with like-minded businesses such as ASCO is so important. We all have our role to play, and by supporting each other we can align and reach our goals more quickly.”
