SITUATION
Coventry Building Society Arena, a prominent multi-purpose venue in the heart of Coventry, has recently undertaken a significant initiative to enhance workplace safety and productivity in the movement of waste bins. Home of Coventry City FC, the arena’s latest signing is a MasterMover TOW300, a star player that will elevate productivity and safety, delivering top performance in handling heavy bins.
This case study explores how the arena worked alongside Briggs and MasterMover to achieve remarkable improvements by integrating the TOW300 into their operations. The implementation of this innovative solution has enabled the arena to double its bin handling efficiency while virtually eliminating the risk of injury.
SOLUTION
To address these challenges, Coventry Building Society Arena, working with our partner Briggs Equipment, implemented a MasterMover TOW300 bin towing machine. This electric tow is specifically designed to move heavy bins effortlessly and safely. By utilising the TOW300, staff can now move two bins simultaneously, drastically reducing the time and effort required for waste management tasks.
MasterMover’s Area Sales Manager, Andy Price explained: “The movement of waste bins is often an area of operations that is overlooked. For staff, it can be a laborious and risky task that often involves pushing or pulling waste bins up slopes and through tight spaces or doorways.
“We work with customers across the facilities management sector to provide safer bin towing solutions that make work easier for staff but also drive productivity improvements. By using the TOW300, the CBS Arena has doubled its productivity in waste handling and taken the strain out of the operation for staff.”
The TOW300 bin mover features an advanced ergonomic design and robust safety systems, ensuring that employees can manoeuvre bins safely. A powerful electric motor takes the strain, enabling staff to move multiple bins with fingertip control. Its intuitive controls and rugged design enable consistent performance across various terrains and slopes, making it an ideal solution for the arena’s diverse operational needs., both inside and outside.
RESULT
The successful implementation of the TOW300 at Coventry Building Society Arena is another example of the power of partnership. Briggs Equipment, a renowned supplier of material handling equipment and long-term MasterMover partner, provided invaluable expertise and support throughout the project for the team at Coventry Building Society Arena.
Jack Miles, Sales Executive at Briggs Equipment, commented: “We are delighted to have supplied this new Master Mover machine to the CBS Arena in Coventry. Last season there were an average of 25,000 spectators on a single matchday, which means any equipment solution must be capable of operating in a busy and intensive application.
“Specifically, the customer wanted a safer & more efficient way of moving the bins around the arena during matchdays. The TOW300 will enable them to streamline the movement of multiple bins, all in a safe and compliant manner. This project has been a collaborative one, and I’d like to thank the team at the CBS Arena and Andy Price at MasterMover for their ongoing support.”
The collaboration between MasterMover and Briggs Equipment ensured that the TOW300 was seamlessly integrated into the arena’s operations and tailored to meet the specific needs of this busy venue.
