SITUATION
Based in Redditch, AMCO, are a global logistics company providing high-quality and efficient freight forwarding, warehousing & distribution, and customs clearance. The company required a rethink of their materials handling fleet and a new approach to how they managed the performance of their fleet.
SOLUTION
Following consultation with Briggs Equipment, which included detailed analysis of the site environment and operating areas. A mixed fleet solution that four Hyster forklifts, four ride-on pedestrian pallet trucks, four articulated Aisle Master machines and two pallet wrappers, was proposed. Given the multi-directional capabilities of the Aisle Master equipment, the requirement for multiple machines is reduced and ensures that storage space can be optimised.
All trucks are fitted with a telemetry system which aids operator safety and with safety being a huge priority in this industry, this functionality will make sure that any issues are identified quickly and ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
As part of the telemetry system, the autonomous tracking technology will monitor the productivity and performance of the machines and ensure that no issues are being encountered.
RESULT
