Briggs Equipment is delighted to announce an extension to its sponsorship of Árón Taylor-Smith for the upcoming 2023 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). This season, Aron will be racing for a new team in Power Maxed Racing and will be aiming to build on several encouraging performances and results during 2022.
The agreement includes a wide range of hospitality and corporate opportunities, such as prominent branding across the car, garage, race suit and promotional team clothing. Briggs customers will also have the chance to experience exclusive behind the scenes access at race weekends and attend special events hosted by Árón. The Championship will be covered comprehensively on TV and online, which provides an excellent platform to showcase the Briggs brand. Coverage of each race weekend will be hosted by ITV, with extended highlights available via their on-demand and digital channels.
Leigh Edgley, Briggs Equipment’s Group Sales and Marketing Director commented: “We are delighted to be supporting Árón for the upcoming BTCC season. It’s an exciting chapter as he joins a new team and looks to build on the progress made over the past couple of years.
“We continue to receive excellent feedback from customers and partners who attend the race weekends and that is mainly due to Árón and his passion for our company and values. He continues to be an outstanding ambassador for Briggs, and we are looking forward to another successful season in partnership.
“There is a captive, global audience for the BTCC and our sponsorship of Árón has undoubtedly helped us increase the awareness of our brand. This year there will be even more opportunities for behind the scenes access, providing an unrivalled insight into how an elite motorsport team prepares for race day.
“We are all eagerly counting down the days until the first race weekend at Donington and everyone at Briggs wishes Árón the very best for the upcoming season!”
Árón Taylor-Smith, commented: “The 2023 season is shaping up to be a memorable one and I am over the moon to get the opportunity to continue representing Briggs Equipment. It’s a partnership that I am enormously proud of as we were able to achieve great things together both on and off the track over the past two years, and we have even more planned in 2023.
“I absolutely love representing Briggs Equipment as their business ethos is perfectly aligned with my own values. It was brilliant to welcome both staff and customers alike throughout last season as they were all equally as passionate as I am about the BTCC. This season I will be competing for Power Maxed Racing in a completely new car, which presents an excellent opportunity to add to my 5 outright career race wins and podium finishes.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every person from Briggs Equipment for their continued support as without their backing I simply wouldn’t be able to go racing.”
