Briggs Equipment, the UK’s leading Asset Management and Engineering Services Specialist, has completed the delivery of 18 new big trucks, with six more on order for delivery in 2025, to ASCO UK, a fully integrated logistics and materials management service.
The trucks, manufactured by Yale Lift Truck Technologies, were delivered throughout the summer of 2024 and are already making a positive impact to on-site operations at ASCO. Deliveries were completed in several stages across seven sites in Scotland and England, including Aberdeen, Peterhead and Great Yarmouth.
Throughout the consultation and evaluation process, Briggs worked closely with ASCO to understand their specific requirements and tailor a solution that ticked every box. Supporting ASCO’s ongoing fuel strategy was a key consideration, and the new machines are configured to support HVO, LPG and low emission Diesel fuel options. This tailored approach will help ASCO work towards their ESG objectives, whilst also delivering a solution that can maximise operational efficiency.
The equipment itself is equipped with some of the latest safety and ergonomic features. Operators will benefit from increased visibility, driver assist features and increased comfort. From a safety perspective, the trucks are supported by the latest telemetry technology, which will allow ASCO’s operational team to identify areas for efficiency and performance gains.
Mick Smith, ASCO’s UK Fleet Manager, commented:
“At ASCO, we are committed to safety, service excellence, and sustainability. Our latest forklift fleet regeneration, in partnership with Briggs Equipment, reflects this commitment by introducing innovative new machines powered by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO).
“These eco-friendly solutions not only enhance operational efficiency and support our ESG objectives, but also ensure seamless service continuity, enabling us to deliver consistent, high-quality logistics while driving a greener and safer future for our business.”
Iain McMillan, Briggs Equipment’s, Key Account Manager, commented:
“We are delighted to have completed the delivery of these new machines. The equipment has already started to deliver improved performance, safety and efficiency for ASCO and I’m excited about seeing how the new trucks can support the growth of their business moving forward.
“As a team, we’ve worked really closely with ASCO to ensure we met every single one of their requirements. Introducing a new fleet of this size always presents challenges, but through excellent communication and building trust, we were able to work through those moments and deliver a project that everyone involved can be proud of.”
