Briggs Equipment raise £114,720 for Dementia UK!

Briggs Equipment team raise £114,720 for Dementia UK charity
We’re delighted to announce that our partnership with Dementia UK throughout 2023, has led to an astounding £114,720 being raised to help support anyone affected by dementia.

The valuable funds will go towards providing expert care and support for those living with the condition.

Dementia UK is completely reliant on voluntary donations and we’re proud to say that we have more than doubled our fundraising target for the year, meaning a brand-new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse could be funded for almost two years.

Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. Today around 944,000 people are living with the condition, and dementia doesn’t just impact the person with the diagnosis, everyone around them is affected in some way.

Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing advice and support whenever it’s needed. They offer families reassurance, understanding and a listening ear that helps them feel more in control.

Briggs people took part in countless activities throughout the year, including bake sales, car washes, walks, karting days, bike rides, marathons and so much more to raise such a significant amount.

Jodie Ridgway from Briggs Equipment’s Charity Team commented: “This year Team Briggs have gone one step further to raise vital funds and volunteer for such an important charity.

“Without the hard work and determination of our people, the success of the partnership and its huge impact would not have been possible.

“So much energy and enthusiasm has gone into a memorable year, and we’ve raised more money than ever before for a charity partner.”

Seema Pirbhai, Corporate Partnerships Executive at Dementia UK commented: “Briggs have raised a tremendous amount of money in 2023.

“What an incredible achievement, you have absolutely smashed your original fundraising target, meaning we can provide more support to all those affected by dementia.”

Martin Bishop, Director or Fundraising and Engagement at Dementia UK added: “Thank you to all the Briggs Equipment team for your support this year, including the generous matched funding.

“You’ve raised an incredible amount which will help Dementia UK significantly in our mission to make sure no families face dementia alone. Thank you so much for all your hard work.”
