A massive well done to David Jewell, Head of Sales Enablement, for raising £2,000 for Prostate Cancer UK!
He did this as part of ‘March the Month’ which is a charity event where the participant aims to walk 11,000 steps a day in March in honour of the over 11,000 men we lose to prostate cancer every year.
Over the course of March, David completed over 350,000 steps!
Prostate cancer is now the most diagnosed cancer in the UK. The money that David raised alone could cover the cost of analysing up to 200 men’s blood samples, increasing the chances of identifying their risk of having prostate cancer.
David said:
“I’m never surprised by the generosity of the brilliant business I work for with charitable donations but have to say I wasn’t expecting an email advising they were going to contribute to this great men’s charity via my page. Thank you to Briggs Equipment for sorting my OCD and rounding up my figure for me. Briggs are a brilliant, supportive employer and I’m delighted to accept the donation for Prostate Cancer UK. I’m incredibly overwhelmed and extremely grateful to all of my colleagues for their wonderful messages and fantastic donations.”
